Pioneer QA Tester – Functional & Automated

About the role

As the first dedicated tester within our product team, you will take the lead in elevating the quality of our software and hardware integrations. You will begin with functional testing and gradually build a strong test strategy — including test automation and quality processes. This role offers ample room to shape your own specialization and build out the full testing landscape.

Your responsibilities

1. Perform functional testing on software applications (and occasionally hardware).
2. Write test plans, documentation, and handover processes.
3. Set up and develop the quality and release pipeline.
4. Implement and expand test automation.
5. Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to continuously improve quality.
6. Optional: contribute to cybersecurity, technical testing, and CI/CD processes.

Your profile

1. At least 2 years of experience in software testing (functional; knowledge of test automation is a plus).
2. Understanding of software development and QA processes.
3. Analytical, structured, and strong communication skills.
4. Proactive self-starter with a sense of ownership.
5. Interest in cybersecurity, DevOps, or technical testing is a plus.
6. ISTQB certification (or similar) is an asset.
7. You don’t speak Dutch very well? No problem at all.
